Policy Principle
Protect Our Quality of Life.
Maintain the parks, public spaces, trees, recreation facilities and municipal services that make Ward 1 a desirable place to live.
Quality of life is created by the everyday condition of neighbourhoods: clean parks, safe sidewalks, mature trees, recreation opportunities, accessible public spaces and a municipal government that responds when residents raise legitimate concerns.

Parks and Recreation
Keep Ward 1 parks and playgrounds clean, well kept and worth visiting, with recreation close to home for every age.
If elected, I commit to:
- Maintain and improve Ward 1 parks, playgrounds and recreational amenities.
- Improve cleanliness, waste facilities and maintenance standards in parks and public spaces.
- Support recreation opportunities for children, families, adults and seniors close to home.

Sidewalks, Trees and Accessibility
Fill the sidewalk gaps that affect safety, look after the mature tree canopy, and make accessibility part of every public-space project from the start.
If elected, I commit to:
- Continue accessibility improvements to playgrounds, pathways and public facilities.
- Address important sidewalk and pedestrian-connection gaps where safety or accessibility is affected.
- Protect and replenish the mature urban tree canopy through responsible maintenance and replacement.
- Make accessibility a standard consideration in neighbourhood infrastructure and public-space projects.

Accountable Representation
Regular town halls to set priorities with residents, and a yearly public report on what got done, what was invested and what comes next.
If elected, I commit to:
- Hold regular Ward 1 public meetings or town halls to identify priorities and report progress.
- Publish an annual Ward 1 accountability report identifying projects completed, capital investments, unresolved issues and priorities for the following year.
Intended Outcome
Clean, attractive, accessible and well-maintained neighbourhoods supported by responsive and accountable representation.
