Listen. Plan. Deliver.

A Safer Ward 1

Residents have told me they’re concerned about speeding, dangerous driving, theft, vandalism and safety in our neighbourhoods, parks and public spaces.

My plan focuses on four key priorities to address these concerns with practical solutions.

Traffic on a Ward 1 street
01

Slow Down Traffic

Speeding and dangerous driving are real concerns in Ward 1. We need to use enforcement, data and available technology to identify problem areas and make our streets safer for everyone.

I will work to:

  • Target speeding, red-light violations and school-zone infractions.
  • Use data from speed-display signs to identify problem areas.
  • Support traffic-calming measures, intersection improvements, speed-limit reviews and stop signs where warranted.
  • Deploy rotating “Your Speed” radar signs with data collection.
  • Focus enforcement resources where they are needed most.

Stronger Neighbourhoods

Residents should feel safe in their homes and neighbourhoods. Preventing theft, vandalism and other unwanted activity requires residents, Windsor Police and the City to work together.

I will work to:

  • Establish and support neighbourhood watch programs.
  • Strengthen the partnership with Windsor Police.
  • Work with residents to identify recurring safety concerns.
  • Use my experience and relationships to connect residents with resources.
  • Support targeted approaches that put resources where they can have the greatest impact.

Safer Parks & Public Spaces

Our parks and public spaces should be places where children, families, seniors and residents feel comfortable and welcome.

I will work to:

  • Increase lighting in parks and public areas.
  • Expand Project Green Light to more parks and key locations.
  • Work with Windsor Police to identify safety concerns.
  • Use technology and other practical measures where appropriate.
  • Keep our parks, trails and public spaces clean, safe and welcoming.

A Safer Ward 1

Community safety requires a comprehensive approach, collaboration and strong leadership.

I will work to:

  • Maintain a strong working relationship with Windsor Police.
  • Bring residents, police and City officials together to address issues.
  • Use data and evidence to guide decisions and resource deployment.
  • Support practical crime-prevention initiatives.
  • Be an accessible councillor who listens and follows through.

Experience
That Delivers Results

As a former Deputy Police Chief, I have the experience, knowledge and relationships to make Ward 1 safer. I will continue to listen, work with residents and take practical action to keep our streets, neighbourhoods, parks and public spaces safe.

Safer streets. Safer neighbourhoods.
Safer parks and public spaces.

That’s what I want for Ward 1, and I have the experience, knowledge and relationships to deliver it.
