Policy Principle
More Investment in the Basics.
Prioritize the infrastructure residents depend on every day: roads, sewers, drainage, flood protection and sidewalks.
Core municipal infrastructure is one of the clearest responsibilities of local government. Road condition, sewer reliability and flood resilience directly affect property values, household costs and quality of life.

Better Roads
Fix the streets that need it most, protect the money to do it, and plan the work so the same road isn’t dug up twice.
If elected, I commit to:
- Develop and maintain a Ward 1 road-rehabilitation priority list using pavement condition, traffic volume, safety and documented resident concerns.
- Protect adequate funding for residential road resurfacing and reconstruction.
- Coordinate road, water, sewer and utility projects wherever practical to reduce repeated excavation, disruption and cost.

Sewers and Drainage
Start where the problems are, check how the system holds up after heavy rain, and keep drains working before the next storm.
If elected, I commit to:
- Accelerate sewer and stormwater improvements in areas with demonstrated capacity or flooding problems.
- Review South Windsor drainage and sewer performance following significant rainfall and flooding events.
- Improve preventive inspection and maintenance of catch basins and drainage infrastructure in known problem areas.

Flood Protection at Home
Help homeowners protect their basements, with support that keeps pace with what the work actually costs.
If elected, I commit to:
- Support continued funding for homeowner basement-flooding protection measures and review whether subsidy levels remain adequate relative to actual installation costs.
- Improve practical flood-prevention information for homeowners.
